Cheers lads, you're all too kind (except Marty haha), the WP shock looks good, but I'm not in a position to have a bid on it I'll get the old shock off as soon as I can.

Lucky it happened where it did, you could have ended up with a mega vfr type wobble bounce thing

I shouldn't laugh MalcoBobkat, but that was a mega vfr wobble bounce! very impressive!

It's ok to laugh when you get out the other side of it ok must say it felt like my shock had collapsed at the time.

I think my heart probably skipped a beat when I saw the angle you were at in the air, while I was following. Bet you couldn't do that again

lucky boy Jamie.......... post up some photos of the collar, I am interested to see where it failed

Will do asap. it has snapped at the thinnest part of the ring, where the softest setting notch meets the hardest setting notch.

I'm not sure the shocks on offer are "gratis"

I must admit, I REALLY stretched my resources today & bagged the used but nearly new WP shock, I figured as it's a track bike it's a worthy investment and I'm sure I'd sell it on for not too much of a loss in the future.

Wow Rust may have been a contributing factor there. I think I may have to pay a bit more attention to mine from now on. That is some scary sh1t a shock collapsing like that. Imagine if that was at high speed.
