it rained all day so i did a couple of tiny jobs - put white paint in the ignition key block (forgot to take a before pic but basically the white had all but gone) and on top of the engine stop kill switch (had to use the rubber end of a pencil to "stamp" the raised lettering) also put black paint in the honda logo but this doesn't show up very well in the pic cos of the flash reflection.

also fitted a hugger and a fender extender

today I finally fitted a wavy rear disc, gold rear caliper and brembo pads to the pineapple express, bloody hell the spindle was hard to remove, once I removed it, I gave it a rub down with wet n dry, and gave it a lloydie style greasing before putting it back in.
now the colour of the calipers matches front and back..... :D
I also bleed the rear brake....
what else, I painted the bottom yoke that carl gave me, it was in a really bad way, I wish I had taken before and after photos, it had been left out in the elements for a long time, it was a real bitch trying to remove the lower head race bearing....
once dremeled and rubbed down, it was treated to several coats of hammerite satin black, it now looks like new. I might have to stick the lower yoke in the freezer tonight, to try and get the new bearing on, it's tighter than a nun's you know what......... :eek2

Drilled out a loose rivet in the MIG end can, and found that the perforated tube has completely rotted away at one end.

Ah, well, less weight.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

repaired a broken lug on the underside of the seat cover using plastex - first time i'd ever used it and i'm pretty pleased with the result.
cost £20 and i've used maybe 1/4 of it so i'm looking for any other broken plastic things to repair ...

it does smell tho and it gave me a headache ( or maybe that was the homebrew ) .

just waiting on some paint now

Plastex is wonderful stuff , I repaired my fairings with it before I sent them off to paint and it's still holding up great

bloody English weather, this morning I got my forks back from roger, super quick turn around, the mans a star.
whipped off the fairings and front end, I had help from carl fitting the head race bearings, i'd put the lower yoke in the freezer over night, and it all went well....
but as we bolted it back together, it started pissing down. I still have to tighten a few bits here and there. but it's all good....

Rode it with a functioning speedo! Morning and afternoon!!

Seems like the bike isn't liking the rain much and water is seeping in somewhere...

Can't wait till i get my new garage.. new license has arrived though so i now have proof of address to find and rent one :)

Feel like such a bad owner leaving her out front, even with something like 5 locks

Get yourself some dialectic grease (silicone grease) Pull ALL the connector blocks apart & grease up each one.
Start with the two big bunches behind the clocks but also do the connectors to the ICU boxes under the tail.
Do the whole loom for good measure in fact.

And only undo one connector block at a time otherwise you will have to get Lloydie around for the lubing and connecting up.
