looks nice, but does the new carbon cover make it easier for tall fecker like me to see the indicator repeater lights on the dash? I had to duck down to see them before,

oh, and if you can take the crash bungs off as well that would be good for when I get my next go

I almost came a cropper a couple of times the the crash bungs. You do get used to them after a while though. Well, if you are a short butt like me

Nope its no easier to see the dash. It's an exact copy of the origional just in carbon. The crash bungs will be replaced as there either cut down or bent so new ones will be on order at some point :D

sounds like you are trying to make sure the bike isn't user friendly for tall people............ are you doing this on purpose?

Yeah they certainly worked

Next I'll make it work so only my hand can work the throttle, with Palm readers

Well today has been busy.

Yesterday morning I ordered for 4D carbon wrap as I wanted to replace the original decals on the bike for something a bit different. So I got the biggest ones off and copied them onto the carbon wrap. Got the areas where they were going all clean and glue free and fitted them, only to find I didn't like them  so I removed them and I was left with something I quite like

And of course by this point I had my tinkering head on, so off came the tank, air box, throttle bodies, rocker covers and replace the rocker gaskets as they were leaking a small amount. Then I changed the throttle cable as the adjuster on my old one had snapped. Then I had to adjust the return spring on the throttle bodies as it wasn't pulling back close smoothly so with a small tweek everything was fine :D re fitted everything, fired it up and, bingo! all right as rain. Also fitted my baffles for the track day next weekend :)

Wow it's been another nearly 2 months since posting here but things are happerning in the land of the tuono......

Since owning this fantastic beast (thanks for selling it geo  ) I have done plenty of riding Inc 2 track days which has given me the bug. So as its coming up to Christmas I thought I would treat myself a little so some bits to get me ready for doing a lot of track riding next year. These purchases have included a pair of race clip ons and fully adjustable rear sets. Mainly brought so my back brake stays working but also so if needs be I can have a play with positioning.

Sunday night saw me buy the biggest items yet as you can tell from the boxes they arrived in.........Image
Yep not 1 but 2 rather large boxes. What's in them I hear you ask, well.......

This is where it gets picture heavy.....

Yep this little lot turned up today. The tank is in great condition. Only 2 small chips, the rest is a little rough but all structurally sound. Just wants a little fibre glass, filler, remove the stickers and repainted. If I do all the prep work I may be able to get the painted through work. If not then a couple or 10 spray cans will do. Not after perfection, just tart it up a bit.

I shall collect my rear sets and clips on from Aprilia proformance next weekend where I will chat with the guru of aprilias to find out what other little tweaks I can make to it.

So yes in summary I went from a storm to something with more power but more up right and now converting it back into its original form, the rsv mille  God it's going to be a pain swapping it all back over when I want to go out on the road  but until I can fund an all out track bike this will have to do. Just have to plan my road rides months in advance
