a bit of a nightmare today, this morning I spotted that my front mudguard was wonky, but on further investigation I realised it was the front wheel.
after some head scratching I realised the only thing I changed on the front end when I refitted the rogered forks was the bottom yoke.
and it was buggered, I was well pissed off as I had just fitted a new taper bearing as well.....
so I stripped the front end back down, took off the offending lower yoke, I luckily managed to remove the head bearing, the dust seal had to bite the dust, but I had a new honda dust seal so that wasn't a problem.
so the lower yoke is in the freezer tonight.
I also decided that whilst the front end was off, it would be the right time to respray the forks, they're both rubbed down and etch primed ready for spraying tomorrow.
as soon as the paint dry's and I get the bearing on it'll all be going back together, and this time I hope it'll be straight....
the worst bit was i'd ridden the bike at the weekend and although it pulled slightly to one side, I didn't really think it was too bad....
i'll never be a muck an nick.....
