what have you done to your "bike" today

Gotta get a set of those but the mesh stays!

Today I removed the cans and link pipes and sealed up my exhaust with high temp copper Permatec silicone sealant.

I had an exhaust leak.

Leak gone, but the carbs are farting a lot more than usual.

These things sure are finicky!

Went for a blast over my favourite mountain road and the thing hammers.

No more tick tick!

Synced the carbs and they were out a fraction. Thankfully have remote vac lines thanks to this forum.

Haven't ridden it since, hope all is well as tomorrow I am going for a ride with a bunch of people from the Guzzi club of N.S.W.

Should be interesting!

As a side note after riding my favourite mountain road with the Storm I took the Duc 848 straight out over the same road and it wasn't as much fun.

Sure, the 848 has many attributes that the Storm doesn't but it's just not as much fun.

Almost too clinical in the way that it does everything.

Also, anyone who complains about the Storm seat needs to have their head read.

It's not. Even I managed it...

You have to chop the block off the back of the bulb holder, the bit with the flat pins in. The only other issue is then connecting the wires up. I didn't want to chop the loom so just attached two flat spade connectors to the wires & pushed those into the block from the loom.

How about we go half's and have one bulb each. I shall use my bike as the guinea pig. Shouldn't be too difficult though. I'd like to put White LED's in my dash too. Got another blown bulb this time it's the temp gauge one. I'm wondering if all the water/rain I have been through recently has affected it. I was out in torrential rain the other night at 1 in the morning. So bad I had to stop and take shelter for an hour as my glasses where covered and I couldn't see where I was going. That and a bit of ground mist/fog mixed with high speeds.

TBH tony did his sidelight yonks ago. So it's his fault.

I bought the led's a couple of years ago to do the same but a slight incident with a Galaxy put it on the back burner for a bit...

Stripped a few bits off the Wonky Donkey...

Front sub frame headings it's way to Wicky...

Whipped the front wheel out to measure the spacers for Flattie.

Drained all the hydraulic fluid out brakes & the clutch.

Took the header pipes off without snapping any bolts ! Result...

Just took pigmit for a shake down run since fitting the crap to it ,
Dam them standard cans feck it right up !
Think I have to go for a good poo before the track day to loose some weight .
Idle dropping after its revved so a tad rich on the mixtures and its a little slow on the pick up too .
All standard except for ignition advance ,flywheel,stick coil and stacks

Following Mac's advice I swapped the indicators round and found that one is broken so have pm'd him about the spares he mentioned last night. Then got some Dianese leather trousers off Gum Tree for £100. Was tempted by the jacket but he wanted more than my offer of £150.

I have got back home from Brands. What a fantastic day, but my legs, neck and shoulders are killing me. What have I done to my bike. Given it a good thrashing all the way home and through central London traffic.
