Lights...

Post by pmcq »

Well I was bored a few weeks ago and decided to stick some extra lights on the Storm... they were more a way for me to learn how to hook up relays etc and they turned out ok... I put them on a switch so they can turned off separately from the other lights. Also I also hooked them up the the 'passing' switch so any messers on the roads get a nice flash! :-)

I like that!
I also been thinking about doing similar thing, but with fork-munted lights, so that you can see where wheel pointing in hairpins

Found these, but it is BMW bike accessories and they cost 300$ 8O

So need to find something else

yep

you right - that stopped me too :)

But later on I found some other story written by some old Kawa Concours owner and realized that I can mount lights onto bar bolted to lower yoke - a bit 24 hour endurance style.

It will look even more weird :) but will be much easier to take off :)

So many things to do - so little time...and money :)

Very interesting Pmcq.
Have you used them much along with the normal lights as I was wondering what effect they may have on you battery holding up :?:

Any chance you could mail me details of the relays, etc you used?

I've got a set I'm about to do
The only comment I've got on yours is they're not gonna help much when cornering (where I'm trying to set mine up for)

For that they need to point upwards and outwards at roughtly 44degrees

The only places I can see to mount them for that is either on the mirror stalks or cut a hole by the screen
