I will only repair a rear if the puncture is in the centre 50% of the tyre and not at a steep angle, I don't repair fronts.
Why not the fronts? Don't think I ever had a front puncture

Not recommended by any tyre manufacturer Carl. if it fails for any reason your going to find it hard to control a flat front, rears are a bit easier. I'm not going to risk putting myself in a position where someone might sue me over a puncture, I'd rather play it safe.

Front punctures are rare, I had one once and tried to ride a couple of miles to a tyre place, it took over an hour to push it with the engine running and arm ache is an understatement

I think a lot of rear punctures can be from something thrown/flicked up by the front wheel. best way to avoid punctures is not ride close to the kerb or in the centre of road near junctions and roundabouts when filtering as this is where all the crap collects.

That makes sense. Back can go where it wants, when the front goes it's a heart murmur moment. The majority of my punctures have been user error. Riding with tread getting a bit close to the mark or under inflated tyres. Then there has been the odd nail.

Those emergency plug kits are great, used them a few times when dispatch riding, but the kits do vary in quality. I've found the tool for cleaning out and rounding off the hole to be as important as the triangular plug material. It's a bit like a reverse fishing disgorger, plenty of glue and poke the plug right in the hole. Trim the excess of the plug and ride vary gently for the first 100miles. It where's down and eventually melts/bonds itself into the surrounding rubber. They have got me out of trouble in the past.

Noooo! you will get a puncture, or more likely punctured :eek2

I used the gloop stuff in my old kwaker, I now know why the rim never sealed again! Ended up with a tube in the front tyre and the tyre man telling me that he had never seen me in his life 8O

So i put the Goop into the wheel, Pumped it up, rotated the wheel a few times, alls well.
Went for a quick 20 miler blast, rechecked pressure when the tyre was cold all good.
As regards to the puncture it looks like goop coming past the rim.
Rechecked this morning, all is good.
Will advise of how this goes with the Goop in the tyre, also how messy things get when i take the tyre off next year.

All is well then. :plainsmile It will be good to get a bit of a review on how things go with the goop. Pics when you remove the tyre will be interesting.
