i'm 50/50 on this one. I personally think the satin black frame brings the storm up to date, making it look modern, but i'm not sure against the rothmans paint, against one solid colour it works, but multiple colours mmmmm not sure.
one thing i'm sure of tho, is I wouldn't polish the frame, not my cuppa tea at all.
i'd throw the white wheels on and see if it helps make your mind up.
also having a set of hi mount or upswept end cans might change your mind on the colour/finish of the metal work.
one thing is certain tho, if you do decide to paint/powder coat or polish the metal work, your bike will need to be completely dismantled. the downside being it's lots of work with a few hazards, exhaust nuts/studs snapping, seized engine/frame bolts and so on, on the plus side you will find out if you have these issues and you can put them right.
personally I think i'd leave the frame as is, clean the bike up within an inch of it's life, maybe sort out the fork lowers and have alastair of elsemade re-trim your seat.....

I like black frames and stuff, but I found they are a real bugger to keep clean.

Interesting comments guys .
It's about 50/50. After seeing the photo shopped pic the more I look at it the more I'm tending to agree with the standard option as well as reading the comments .maybe if I had a solid colour bike it would work but it's multi coloured ....
I'm still sat on the fence with this 1 .maybe when a good set of cans are added it at change things again. I certainly think I'd better hurry up and put the white wheels on.

I don't think the black frame suits the Rothmans paint at all, stick with the alloy mate. The photoshopped photo really shows it well, good work chap

PC will be more durable but less choice of colour + unless you have it done by someone who has done bikes before you may have issues with threads & bearing surfaces being coated, which you dont really want.

Paint will be cheaper & you could DIY it.

Hhummmm.
I really don't know what to do .In some ways I like original but in others I really like the black .
Why is it such a hard decision
I've even put the 2 pics together and still 50/50

I've got a frame for sale.

Buy it, paint it, fit all bar the engine & look at it for a while, make your mind up & if you like it put the engine in. Simples...

Or just ride it through the winter, it'll be black by the spring all by itself.

Maybe a different colour altogether would be better. What about White or do i dare say it......Blue  You need to tie in the colours of your paintwork.
