I like to be different and live life at the edge. Some times I will even manage to go off the edge of the track and on to the grass

Loving the clipons CK, can you feel much weight difference between the carbon and f/g fairings?

There's a huge difference Jamie. It has to be half the weight at least  when I get chance and if my scales are good enough I'll weigh them and find out.

The back brake always worked geo, after we messed around with it  now it will stay working, well it will when I have sorted out a new shorter braided line for it

Well I'm shocked. I dug out the kitchen scales and weight all the carbon stuff vs the fibre glass and I'm shocked. I need to get a digital pair of hanging scales to weigh them properly as from what I have there isn't a lot of difference but when you pick them up you feel a bigger difference. So when I have some better scales I shall 're measure and let you know

Hmm that's odd... maybe your right arm is much stronger than your left?

lol

But you did mention they have been covered in grp, so that would beef them up.

Yeah. It's almost tempting to try stripping the gel coat off them to make them even lighter, but that's to much hard work

The carbon parts are reinforced .
Normal gel coat ,layer off glass then a layer of carbon .
Look down the edge you will see the layers

Today has seen me back at Lloyds for the first time since Christmas and I came armed.....

With the track fairings and tank :biggrin

Took longer to fit than I first thought as I had to trim the side panels to fit around the crash bungs, make a start at cutting the half carbon belly pan :( which needs a lot more work to fit with it having the 2-2 akra system on it :( got the rear sets fully fitted, just need to refit the rear brake line and wire in the brake light switch, then bleed and that will be done.

Still waiting for the shock to come back :( and I'll get the springs for the front at the same time and then it's nearly there. Still going to have a play with the look of the fairings as there not in the best condition but there useable.

Got rather excited when I sat on her. Feels like a nice position but will only find out when riding

You can do it, just focus on one small section at a time.
