Servicing

Got a 98 storm with 15k on clock, don't have any history....... I think a service would be a good idea, any idea what needs doing/checking and what is the going rate???? I have read a few posts about the dreaded cam chain tensioners... sould I be worried and is there an easy way to check them or is it a dealer job...too many questions!!!!!!!!!!!!! Help!!!!!!!

Hey I was in the same boat as you. I had 16k miles on the VTR when I got it, and no history. This is not official or anything, but I'm getting the valves checked, the cams checked and most of the engine looked over to make sure she's in spec. New Michelin Pilot Sports going on too.

I got about 18k+ mi on her now, running great and pulls like a fighter jet
