Slow turning bike on starting

Post by BrianC »

I'm currently looking at a non starting Firestorm. According to teh dealer it wont start, as it turns over very slowly when the button is pressed. He says they have tried a new battery with same result. Any simple ideas what may be wrong and extent??

I was thinking of buyig it as a project and I'm quite handy with teh spanners

Many thanks in advance

can be the starter lead has overheated, or most likely corrosion on the bolt where the starter lead joins the starter motor [or inside the starter].

dry bendix, bad earth on the bike, take the plugs out and try it.

The price would need to reflect the fact that you are going to buy (or not)a bike which is a none runner
hopefully you get it a good price and its an easy fix like the men above have mentioned
told you not to but oh no you knew better
