Headlight surround, threaded brass inserts missing...

Post by Jamoi »

Hi all, a quick search didn't show any results for me, so...

The brass threaded inserts in the headlight surround fairing, which the headlight bolts into... I'm missing two diagonally opposing brass bits.

Anyone know where to source these? Or know of a way to get a fixing into the plastic?

Ta muchly!

I have had them come out, but never lost.. so a replacement im not positive on... If it were me, Id go buy a M6 brass nut and turn it down to size and fix in place with epoxies. .. That is what I essentially did for the ones that came loose... been holding tight a few years and lots of miles.

Try these and some plastex to fix em in. I replaced the screws with stainless allen bolts with copper grease as original screws can corrode
