Linkage help required

As most of you know I am slowly building my fighter.
Well I have made 2 failed attempt at tryng to fit the dog leg roller needle bearing on the short stumpy end
As I don't have the proper tools the first attempt result ended up with the new bearing poping all the needles out and was a real pig to get the shell out.

I ordered a new bearing, placed it in the freezer and heated the dog leg on the radiator, but to no avail.
The bearing is stuck won't roll freely and I am seriously fecked off and feel like a right

The dog leg has been painted and I have damaged part of it due to my efforts

Now I need
Is anyone willing to get the old bearing out and fit a new one for me?
I will pay for bearing postage and beer tokens for any kind soul who is willing to help

How about a bit of threaded bar and two large washers with nuts on the end. Put the bar through the middle, attach washers and nuts and tighten down. This should then push the bearings into place.

I tried that also bashed it with a socket, need the right tools really, that's how i fecked it up

Threaded bar washers and nuts with lots of grease worked for me

I made a tool to remove/refit these bearings. It has a stepped shoulder, so part sits inside alongside the needles with the shoulder to drift in & out the bearings.
I used it to refit my new bearings ( on the other linkage)
I can post it to you & you can post it back when done

For future reference. If you have an engineers vice on a bench you can press the old one out using appropriately sized sockets. The same goes for pressing the new bearing in.

Take it to your local garage, they will have a heavy duty press and will sort it for a few beer tokens.

Thanks for the offer, just ordered a new bearing after getting the old one out

For future reference. If you have an engineers vice on a bench you can press the old one out using appropriately sized sockets. The same goes for pressing the new bearing in.

Top tip, I found a socket and got the old one out, will try that method to fit the new one first
