Corbin v.s. Sargent Seat

Post by w_pienaar »

My other half and I will be touring France at the end of May. Seeing the Firestorm is not renowned for pillion comfort, options need to be considered to make life easier for her on the back. Has anybody any experience on the Corbin/Sargent aftermarket seat? Does it make long distance riding bearable for the passenger?

Cheers

Another posibility is to send the seat away and get gel packs put into it, with postage, labour and parts this should work out well below the £200-300 for either of the seats you mention.

Friend of mine has just put a Corbin on his Storm. I did a swapsie for a bit & it's veeeeeerry comfy on the front, but not sure about the pillion side of things.
If you ate yourself would you become twice as big or simply disappear?

Hows about this for a cheep solution.
Buy her some cycle shorts. You Know, the ones with the padding in the backside, they work great.
They'll keep her in the seat for hours longer without your ears getting tired from the windging

Nice idea, Pete, but she'll want to know if her butt "looks good in that" & you know it won't  !

Buy gel pads, they strap on where you want them and can transfer to any bike you ride............could even strap them to your knees and avoid carpet burns.
it may be clever, but its not big.
