Some new Horses in the stable.

Post by StormingHonda »

well I finally caved in and said were get the money out for a new Kitchen, the missus said to buy a reliable bike so that she can see my ugly face and not know when I am not with the bike club I am in my man cave fixing someone else neglected pile of sh1t.

Tomorrow I am sorting out with the bank, but I have not one but two bikes lined up.

A Honda X11 in blue ( the best and fastest colour )

And

A Honda CBR929 RR in bits.

I know the blade as I have seen it when it was on the road and I know once cleaned and put back together it will be a great bike, I have a mate whose taking most of it to get it running and I will do a bit of cleaning and putting back together onces its ready.

Pics to come ( hopefully ).

I'd go for the X11, they're supposed to be reliable and they are a bit different - 135bhp at the rear wheel too with a decent exhaust and a Power Commander apparently.
I'm so unlucky that if there is such a thing as re-incarnation I'll come back as me!

Good news Jay, and amen to the colour comment!!!
You had an X11 just after the storm didn't you? 929's a nice bike, still meant to be one of the best of the blades.

So... Just so i understand... Your wife gave the okay to buy a reliable bike so she can spend more time with you; so you're arranging for a loan, and are considering buying a bike that is in pieces and needs to be put back together???

Have you considered that may not go over as planned?

Why not buy a complete, running, reliable bike and make you both happy?

No this is the plan.

I will buy the X 11 ( I seriously loved the last one, but wanted the Harley and it had to go as part of the deal ).

Right the blade is a bike in boxes, its complete, however I have a deal with a mate who knows his stuff to join work on the blade, he will take the big parts and I will take the little parts that need cleaning in exchange I will give him the ZX6R, as its a CAT C its not worth selling and he will use it as a stunt bike.

So the plan is hatched.

The X 11 was an awesome bike mate, I really miss the last one I sold and the new owner refused to sell the bike back to me.

The blades a 2001 so it should be bloody fast.
