I've decided not to powder the frame, having looked at loads of photos I prefer the silver. When bolting the rear subframe back on, should I remove some powder coating from the ends that attach to the main frame...what I mean is does the subframe have to be grounded?

Thanks :D

Yes you will need to remove the coating from all ground points

Got my steering bearings in today. Fitted the rear subframe properly and corrected the routing of the wiring loom. Front subframe and Clocks on and fitted ancilliaries such as the ignition coil and HRC coolant catch tank.

Next purchases will be tyres and chain and sprocket kit

Next jobs-clean the brake calipers and bleed through all the hydraulics with fresh fluid
Fill the cooling system
Oil change

Still waiting for the fork stanchons to come back...

Hoping to have it built for Op Grainstorm

Might upgrade the reg rec to MOSFET and the carrier bags to Fortnum and Mason if I get time

:D

Just thinking aloud really. She's tilted up at too much of an angle to fill properly, and I cant really drop her down until the forks come back, so oil and coolant are pretty much the last things to do.

There's a bit of wiring to take care of at the back end, I had to chop some of the alarm wires to get the subframe out so they all need soldering back in. I'm tempted to bypass the ignition cuts so that if the (now old) alarm packs up I can still ride the bike.

Had an avalanche in the shed, so my bodywork is now displaying a couple of scratches which it didn't have before :redface . But you lot won't lose sleep over it cos it's a blue one

Or fit a hidden toggle switch somewhere.
