Steering dampers

Post by Dan »

Well after buying a vtr, I'm now looking for things to do to it.

Think the first thing is a steering damper.

Which ones are good at the job.

Nitron or Popkat is able to get hold of another brand that's meant to be good .

I agree with lloydie, suspension and brakes are more important, it's good that you have mcct's fitted
upgrading the fork internals and rear shock is the way to go, popkat can offer the cheapest rear shock I've seen for the storm, it's from a company called YSS.....£255 delivered
HEY YOU GUYS!!!!!!

You wont need a steering damper unless your tracking it and on the limits, unless you want it for cosmetic reasons.

But when you have run out of stuff to add to the storm, then think about a damper.

I have got a WP waiting to go on the storm, when time an money permits, my polished forks will go to Roger@Revolution to be worked.

I think the damper is a good idea
when I open it up hard to overtake something and turn, the steering starts to give it the head shake
so surly a damper would sort this

is this just me or are you bums riding like pussys

I have one fitted and am using it more and more. it helps composure on hard throttle and corner entry on bumpy roads. was also good at Mallory track day to stabilise things so I could push harder [to hard! ]
