Newbie signing on :-)

Post by GoSlow »

Hi all :D I'm Ant, not new to Firestorm ownership but only just found the site! Had loads of bikes but the vtr is my first twin. I'm in the Lincs, Leicestershire, Notts area (sounds more complicated than it is!) I was trying to put a pic of my 'storm on my avatar but it's too big and I'm computer illiterate! Lol :D

Welcome aboard Ant.
Open your image in Paint (or similar) and simply resize down and save with a new file name. Then select the new image for your avatar.
If you've over-cooked it, just lean it over more.

Thanks everyone.. I've found some useful info already :D Bought my bike last August and haven't used her a great deal but now the weather is getting better i'm getting some time on her :P I've always had 4's in the past... from a vfr 400 to a gsxr 1000 race bike but I rode a friends tl1000 and was impressed by it's usability on the road so set about finding a twin and the storm has always caught my eye  I've had no problems as such, she has manual cct's already so nothing to worry about there... I do have a fuelling issue (surging at cruise) which i'm hoping I have just cured :? having found the fuel screws to be almost wound fully in! Next ride out will prove the theory! LOL
