strapping you bike in a van
Re: strapping you bike in a van
When I put mine in the van I use a front wheel chock similar to the ones shown, but I made an adjustable clamping devise to hold the rear wheel, that way you don't have to strap it down, it works a treat, ask anyone on here who's seen it and they'll verify how solid it holds the bike, It's my own design, I made mine out of steel, but I'm sure anyone who's quite handy could make a more crude version out of wood and some clamps, at the end of the day if it works fine it really doesn't matter what it's made of.

after nip to ours ill sort you some diesel money out and show mebudd wrote:I got one of these
seems well made, works fine can't really fault it, I had intended to make one but at just over £35 it didn't seem worth the effort.
I holds the bike much more securely in the van compared with just using straps you can also use it with a rear paddock stand and on a bike table makes the bike more stable to work on.
