good to hear your making progress bob....
the only thing to be aware of with the powerbronze lowers, is that it's harder to see the oil level sight glass. personally I think the skidmarx looks better.

I know about the lack of sight glass hole, I'm getting it for the look, and will look better with the carbon case covers, even if I have to trim it a little..

Are you referring to hugger when you say skidmarx, I do think it looks better than the powerbronze in pictures, I don't like the look of the rolled lip.

Yesterday ! I stripped the bike to swap engines as the tuned engine is using more oil than I'd like and I didn't want to damage the heads or Pistons as I want them for the next build (when I find a good low mileage engine).
I should have it ready to test ride tonight too .
I'm going all stock with this engine now except flywheel and ignition , stacks ,coils, and I need to do a baffelectomy to a set of standard cans as I need some link pipes for my vipers again .

I mean the skidmarx bellypan mate, the mori replica, I still like that look, as for huggers I prefer the pyramid, smaller than the rest, but a better shape.
and yes the powerbronze lowers will rub against the carbon case covers, only slightly tho.

Remember this mishap ...

Image

Today I picked up the freshly painted & repaired seat unit & seat pod...

Image

Image

Image

Honestly the repair is fantastic you wouldn't even know it had been repaired, not even a mark on the inside !

Had the whole thing done as I wanted the numbers & the ghastly dream machine logo gone...

Image

As you can see the number just looked misplaced & the logo well...

+ I know who the No.1 rider was* but not the No.2 & it's well a No.2 innit...

* Not that they were on VTR they were CBR600 AMA champs several times...

Had it done by these fine chaps...http://www.sudden-impactuk.com/

£8 for your wife is indeed a bargain.

And if she works, so much the better. Put me down for two.

Wow indeed.

Mac your bike looks fantastic.

All I did today was fit a CBR1000 side stand (to cope with my shimmed shock) and I also cut the end off the foot brake pushrod so I could lower the pedal.

I've been given a morning pass by SWMBO so I'm off for a Sunday ride tomorrow!

Mainly worked on my 1200 Bandit as it was running lean as hell. Up jetted it. Unexpected 2nd gear wheelie says I have it close.

Tried a few different bars on the VTR. Going to run with some CBR600F2 ones I have. Angle is a bit different and will run them a bit higher up the forks.

Tomorrow Im going to try something different with my FIL mod.
