Mine was a tad worse than that.

missing the noise, not the vibes. However never say never!

Off to go get another new rear tyre in 30 mins
then it's going to get its butt spanked for a couple of hundred miles
don't know where I'll go. Just a shame I'm riding on my own

Show us some pics.
You know the other bikes I ride, and to be honest I find my 05 Storm very comfortable compared to the Tuono!
Lately lots of folks are talking about risers and flat bars however I can't imagine my Storm with risers or flat bars.
Just curious to see what all the fuss is about and why people change their Storms!

Been giving it a good spanking around the country lanes. Got my knee down on a round about about 8 miles from my house (new rear fitted this morning) and been having a well needed hooning session. Currently in mc donalds topping up my tank before making my way home.

TRX got a new shock (R6), new chain and sprockets, Metzeler Z6 rear tyre and new rear pads and clips:

I'm so unlucky that if there is such a thing as re-incarnation I'll come back as me!

Rode it over to Tony's & met up with Jonesey as well.
He was in for a clearance check & whilst Tony battled with tight nuts on Jonesey's bike, I helped Jonesey try & sort Tony's brakes out.
Much bleedin' & swearing later it was decided that the radial M/C he has fitted wasn't doing as a M/C should...so that came off for Jonesey to take back to his lab to investigate...
Rode it home...

Changed the brake fluid ! Not a simple job with Hondas CBS on the bird but thankfully ck was to hand as its a two man job .
Dropped the forks 5mm and sealed the exhaust leak .
Changed the oil and filter .
Going for a thrashing in the morning :-)

Used a new head stand that I bought online (seriously cheap at GBP29) and refitted the OEM rebound damper valve bodies plus 5 x 0.15mm shims and some fresh 10W. Wish I'd bought one of these stands years ago!
Took a very relaxing 4 hour ride to Kaiaua, Mercer then up the Awhitu Peninsula and enjoyed a winter sunny day with mostly dry roads.
I find I'm really enjoying the relaxed nature of the VTR, and I even find it surprisingly comfy. Whenever I get on I notice the low bars and high pegs compared to my VFR, but these don't become uncomfortable at all.

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
Out early Sat Morning on my own, but i don't mind that sometimes. The plan was to make some Suspension adjustments etc whilst riding some nice twisty roads round Middle Wallop. I did about 230 miles and iam loving the bike. Still not 100% got the settings bang on though.
I got pulled and followed by a Copper on a Maroon totally unmarked Kwak GTR 1400. ( didn't know they had them!!!)who just wanted to ask why i have been going rounds a series of roundabouts about 25 times. He was ok after i explained it was new to me and i was making some adjustments.
He did have a sit in the bike and said he would like to thrash a naked bike without fairings, he has only ridden normal cop bikes. He had a Pan last time and wore a hole in the boxes due to leaning it over!.
On the way home i stopped to assist a biker with a broken chain on a VFR. The chain looked ok but a bit dry. It had smashed the fook out of his tray, chain cover and front spoken housing and he had oil leaking so maybe the casing too. He was doing about 90 at the time and was lucky to stay on. I checked my chain when i got back!!!. ( same swinger etc!!!).
Ive got about 5mm to go to get the rear tyre fully off!. I will get there.
oh and where as i miss the twin sound, decelerating down from 9000rpm with the exhaust burbling from the Arrow can is very very addictive.
