can't think why that would be, particularly as both sets are the same.

stating the stupidly obvious but your holding the link pipes the right way round, the links slip over the down pipes and the cans slip over the links.

Hey Kaz

Could always try and get some adaptor ends. I know they do em for cars. So you could have one end which slips on the cans and one which slips on the bike. Might make it a bit longer though, about 1 - 2 inchs as a guess. Or cut small slits in the end so they stretch a bit.

Finally got some cans yesterday...yey and found that they were a bit tight when being put together. With a bit of fidleing finally got em put together.

Get him to try again when he's had a bit more sleep bet they slip straight on ;-)

Ha you see great minds think alike :-)

Got some carbon can company oval stanless ones in the end. Really pleased with them. Only just running them in. Done about 100Km's on em.

Sound really good. Going to try them with the baffles out at the weekend  Keep the neighbours on their towes hehehehe

am interested in finding out what how big a difference having them out makes. Presume it will make it a bit louder and more throaty....will have to wait and see.

Nice to have the option of being a menace when i want to be ;-)

Are you sure the pipes are for a firestorm?
they could be for a SP1/2

If the adaptor makes the pipe to long try cutting a bit off the link pipes.

Have you tried contacting the Yoshi UK supplier, you may have an important conector/adapter missing that is suppleid in the origional fitting kit 8O

perhaps the down pipes are from the sp1 then your options change , you can source storm down pipes or swap the link pipes for sp1 like pipes what ever happens you will get there in the end and will enjoy the noise i am sure kaz 8)

there you go kaz ask the seller the question what is the inside diameter of the the pipes or if anyone else has their pipes off measure the bores

this will tell you at least which part is non standard

The inside diameter of the link pipes of my ART cans is 48mm.
These cans have a "split/ Flanged" end

PS

The standard Honda exhaust gaskets fit inside the link pipe/over the header pipe to make the seal
