Help! my new Yoshi's won't fit
Kaz, did your bike come with standard cans on it, i'd be surprised if the standard cans don't fit standard downpipes, so unless the previous seller, who you could contact from the adress on the V5 document fitted a full system, and then managed to crowbar a set of standard cans on when selling the bike, i'd say the down pipes are ok.
just to clear things up, is pete trying to fit the linkpipes to the standard down pipes and include the gasket on the end of the downpipes if there is one.
when i fitted my new cans, i only used silicone sealant, no gasket, this may be what the problem is, if your using a gasket it will increase the outside diameter of the whole lot by about 5mm and therefore stop the link pipes fitting.
by a gasket i mean the metaflex, graphite type cylindrical ones.
don't use these ones:

but it looks like I have 2 options.... either to get a set of downpipes for the superhawk, or sell the Yoshis![]()

does anyone know if the measurements between the superhawk and the storm vary???
