Although I am usually the first to ridicule the ones that say they'll come all year, then drop out every time, I reckon I will have to drop out of this one

It's not certain yet, but events are conspiring against me.

It's been a mental year with 3 of my uni mates getting married, 1 of my home mates and 2 of Sarah's friends, and not to mention my own wedding, meaning a number of days off for stag dos, and weddings themselves.

I get a decent number of holidays at 28 a year, but when I then add on the days off for 4 track days so far, plus another in August, then take off the week for honeymoon, 3 days at Christmas and time off for refurbishing my new house, I am left with just 1 single bloody day to take between now and the end of the year.

I could choose to have it on the 7th August, and do this trip, but then would struggle to do Wales trip, so I thought I could bike it up after work on the Friday evening, however, someone at work has decided to organise a 'team building' night out on the piss.

I could give that a miss I suppose, but now Sarah has been invited on a Spa day for the Saturday 8th, meaning I would probably have to look after Sophia. It wouldn't normally be a problem finding someone to look after her, other than it's a full day & night do, meaning she would have to sleep over somewhere, and that's difficult.

So it's a tough one. I really love the Scotland trip, but I get the feeling it's not going to happen for me this year.
If Sarah can find someone to have Sophia for the day & night, I might come, but it's unlikely.

an alternative route that takes us east rather than west as previous years.

this will include the logging road out to the Buddhist temple [which we did on Sunday the 1st year], up to Selkirk then down past st Marys loch, then over the Dalveen pass [which we did last year].

https://goo.gl/maps/ADshP

Some of these roads I have never done, so will be new for all of us........... will decide when we see the weather, as the other ride can be shortened if we want, this one is the full loop
