I use castrol chain wax on mine, but I cleaned the chain thoroughly before applying it for the first time. I clean the chain properly once a fortnight and re apply, I also give it a quick squirt in between after going out for a run when the chain is hot. Since using this method I have had no trouble and have not had to adjust the chain since, but I am considering getting a scottoiler.

I have always used castrol chainwax, but I was talked into useing repsol fully synthetic lube(very expensive!!! :? )and was told you get no fling, but I got fling on the first application :x then none after. On having the lube tested(I work in the aircraft industry)it seems very strong and my chain looks to be in good nic :D .

I swear by Castrol Chain Wax, every 3-4 days daily riding, no fling and the small can they do is handy for long trips.
