What's it worth?

Post by Jimmieec »

Hi all

Tempted to sell the storm and buy a Big Bang R1. :?

Any ideas what's it's worth?

16k from new, de-baffled original cans, K&N, Dynojet, made 104 bhp on the rollers, datatool, datatagged, smart water etc etc. Been used everyday for the last year or so but very good condition. I'd say above average.

Your opinions would be appreciated.

Jim

You like horrendous clutch rattle then

As for your bike, £500 but when you reach 50 posts it could well make £1600

Clutch rattle on an R1?

I've got an old Ducati so yeah I'm used to it haha.

Do they all rattle or is that a problem on some?

I've had a few big bangs in work and they all rattle, some are really loud, there's a fix from Graves racing in the US not done it but the Yanks seem to think it works, I've stripped one clutch before but not found anything wrong to cause it. Do a bit of googling for more info.

Popkat, you own a Honda, so do I infact many of them, different types and models of bikes.

Honda clutch rattle has been horrendous on ALL my Honda's, Clutch rattle, CCT and regulators are not the best on any Honda motorcycle.

from that comment i know you've never heard one of these crossplane R1's when they make the noise, it's not even close to the noise a honda clutch makes, in fact most honda clutch rattle is just an annoying rumble, these R1's are not far short of the noise of a Ducati dry clutch. If it was normal i wouldn't even have mentioned it....

I Don't really see the point in your post !..
