Nice dyno chart
Have you got one of power vs revs so I can overlay it on mine?

The purple line is mine with Pipercross and road-legal Remus'
A bit more back in the midrange would be nice for the road, and then 15mins work swapping inlet trumpets would give me more power for trackdays!!
Cool

there are no internal mod but the bloke that set it up for me did not use the jets out of the dyno jet kit, he fitted different jets and he hasent told me what they were.

i changedn the cans last year for microns and ran it on the dyno again and i lost 6hp it dynoed at 109bhp at the wheel, as u can imagine i soon changed the cans again, for the art cans ive got now.

Thanks dk :) I'll say it again, awesome looking bike! Love the black frame and candy paint.

In terms of the dyno, mine produced 105.0 hp with two long intake runners. Given that those who have ran dyno tests with the different combos have typically reported a 2 hp increase by going to two short ones, it should stand to reason then that going to two long ones would cost 4 hp (as opposed to two short ones). If this is the case, going to two short ones should bring up to about 109 hp, which is what you had with your Microns.

On another note, your 6 hp jump with the Lasers makes me want to get a set. Are they a lot louder than the Microns?

cheers

i origionaly had viper cans on for the first dyno run, then the microns, now i have got art cans on, and you can feel the dfference between them,
in my opinion the art cans are the best.

and yes they are quite loud. :D :D :D :D

thanks for the info. Btw, I am not sure where I got Laser exhausts from in my last thread...must be brain fade.

Anyhow, I took my trusty VTR out of storage today. Rode it 130 kms and realized yet again what a fine bike it is. I just picked up a set of intake runners (trumpets, bell mouths,...) on eBay for $10 US so I will be palying around with different combos in the coming weeks. I am also looking forward to installing my RC45 throttle tube, and lightened flywheel (machined and balanced by Mr. Revolution Racing himself...thanks Roger :) ). Finally, I will be trying a Flo-Commander as I picked one up for a great price. Feedback received from another chap who tried one on the Superhawk forum is that it smoothes the engine out, gives better throttle response and a very slight increase in power.

Isn't modding great? lol

cheers

Has anyone ever removed the airbox and run pod filters? I know the stock carbs don't have a stack to attach a pod filter to. I've been searching on the net and no one makes an adapter. I'm thinking about machining my own. But I know its most likely going to be too much trouble for just a bit of novelty. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas or knows of anyone who makes an adapter...Thanks
