It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

Re: Reserve
On the early RLOD bikes, each one is a little different as it is just a sensor on the end of a bendable rod.
When the sensor is above the fuel level, the light turns on.
So I took mine out and tweaked the rod until my RLOD lights with 1 gal (around 3.8 liters) left.
Which takes a lot of the stress away when it happens....

Loud pipes don't save lives, knowing how to ride your bike will save your life.

Re: Reserve
I don't think the ROLD is very accurate, the one time I really came close to getting stuck, it held the same as normal after 20+ miles on the motorway with the light on.....
Re: Reserve
As has been said many a time on here...Test it... Fill up a container with petrol, 5l can/old cleaned out 2l bleach bottle & strap it to the bike. Ride you bike till the RLOD comes on *...Zero the trip & ride until you run out...Note milage on trip...Fill up from the can your carrying...Head to the nearest filling station...If your smart you'll have a route that takes you past at leaste one & dont go more than 5 miles from it on your test route.
* Now when Ive had RLOD come on it blinks on & off for a bit depending on corners/hills/aceleration/decelaration. As Hawk said all bike are different as its a bit of bent metal... Also how hard you are on the loud grip will depend on milage of course...If you ride very caerfully onec the RLOD comes on campared to how you normally ride you'll get a different milage reading...
