Which Cans...

Post by andrewlondon »

I'm trying to work out what exahusts to buy for the naked storm. So far i have come across 2 that i think will give the look i'm after.

Basically i wanted to know what people thought. I know which is my favourite but if you could tell me which one you liked it would be a great help.

I know they're not on storms at the moment but it wouldn't be a problem making something similar fit.

Great, so 7 people have looked at the thread and not one has left a comment.

Top stuff.

Fair comment, if underseat cans were out of the question what cans would you buy? High level ovals or something like that?

First one looks like a cruiser - which Storm definitely ain't.
Second one looks weedy - which Storm definitely ain't.

So I'm with Kaz on this - neither of the above. Sorry.

i think ground clearance could be a problem if you go for a cruiser style zorst... the tri-oval is neat . personally i would go for that kinda thing.. 8)

oh yeah and most peeps here work for a living. so an immediate response to your questions might not happen. and peeps do look at threads and have no opinion., so leave no reply.. patience ...........chill................relax...........

As Zero said...you waited 1 1/2 hours between those posts, most people take 12 hours to reply....

As to your original question, the first option looks like a flared jobbie off a Buell or something & I dont like it personally...

The second option looks to me like the current trend mufflers (GSXR, R6 etc) & I also don't like that either. I doo like the teardrop shape however, so how about some custom "cutdown" Moriwaki Zero's????

At the end of the day, its your ride... :)

Do you know how loud it will be with those on but if you must the second one its the way I would go.

nice simple and smart with a nice racey edge to them
I love my storm and I really dont want another bike what am I going to do

you could also run a poll if your looking for numbers to reply.

the tri oval looks best but might be a bit small for the storm, depends who makes them i guess, the open trumpet would sound awsome.

I go for the second option, I don't think that the first one would suit the storm, It's going to look pretty cool with those on mate

I think exhaust cans on any bike you are going to modify is really down to your personal choice :!:

Although the systems in your 2 pics would not be my choice, if I had to pick one then it would probably be the one in the 2nd picture :!:

Why don't you go the whole hog and build one, similar to the one in the picture below :!: that would really be something else :!: you would have a really tidy back-end and you're not likely to park up at a bike meet and see the same on another Storm :!: :!: :!:
