hi thumper..head bearings...if you fitted them yourself you either
A...didnt knock the bottom shell in far enough,
B..overpacked the bearings with grease,
C..didnt preload the castleated nut enough,
due to the pressures exerted on the brgs they have now settled.
tighten up again and test...hope this is of help..
It might be old, but it still kicks ass !

new bearings

Thumper - as already said when ou fit new ones they have to settle for a bit and then be nipped up a it. MIght settle a bit more but unless you have to ajust alot then don't worry!

As with other parts they will wear and will need tightening every now and then. ON an R1 ou can need to adjust them every 500-1000 miles! could be all the wheelies though as R1s are meant to be good at them!
