Hello,
I thought I would milk the knowledge all you fine people have about 'storms (suking up enough yet?)
Anywhoo, I was wondering whether there are any rear shocks that will just bolt into thestorm. Ohlins/Nitrons etc obvioussly make a 'storm shock but they are ££. If there is a different model that will do I might be able to get a 2nd hand one off ebay.
Any suggestions?
Cheers,
Adam

I have a HyperPro shock on mine & was a bolt on proposition (as they should all be by the way ;) ).
They make 2 types of shock for the Firestorm & will match a spring to your weight as part of the cost...
http://www.hyperpro.com/cgi-bin/index.p ... id=04:0317 for 300 Pounds

thanks mono - there are several places (ohlins, wp(?), nitron) who will do shocks for a storm - I was just trying to be cheap and see if one from say a 96 blade would fit cos I might be more likely to find a 2nd hand one of them on Ebay
PLEASE NOTE: I DO NOT THINK A 96 Blade SHOCK WILL FIT A STORM SO DONT THINK IT DOES
unless someone believes it does!

Remember that the stroke on the shock off a 'storm is about the longest there is on a streetbike. Much longer than a CBR, etc.
I haven't heard of a shock off another bike being easily converted to fit a firestorm. And when it was converted, the cost of this process offset the cost of simple buying a replacement item ;)
