Agreed seeing that pic, it's right side of oil filter but it does look further over than standard, which is good for ground clearance.

Re: Another hello from Norfolk
Mr Yeti, as I am new, I can't p.m. you back, but yes swing arm is an over-braced stardard one. Forks were standard, but now have '97 Fireblade ones fitted. Only hint I have to original forks, I found a 2" bracket for a steering damper. Could this have been fitted to 51mm Paoli usd forks?
Exhaust, now full Akky hi-level system, £1050 from Demon Tweeks. Titanium extentions cause silencers to hit overbracing on swing arm, hence not fitted on track day shots.
When speaking to Mr K Whitting at Oulton Park, he told me that the race engine was never dyno'd, also that the engine had done a lap round the Isle of Man during TT in the other chassis, but rider preffered the Fireblade. IF, I remember correctly, the rider was the one that went tank-slapping down Bray Hill on said Fireblade.
Another thing about bike is that it has three radiators. Any more ?

Okay in a way.. just been so busy with work.
I'll update the bitsa thread at some point as don't want to hijack this thread. Should be able to start progress on it at the end of the month and get moving on it again.
Also got myself another Xmas present but waiting for that to arrive... and that week be a whole different thread.

Re: Another hello from Norfolk
Hello all, it's about time I wrote some more, so her're a couple more points of interest.
I've only gone and done it, yes, I've bought another one. Was looking on Ebay to see if a black Firestorm with yellow graphics was for sale. Yes, there was one and where was it, only 14 miles down the road in Kings Lynn. It turns out, it was first registered only 10 days after mine in March '97. Will get that one set up for a pillion, leaving yellow one for solo riding.
The other topic is, after using search engine on this forum, I can see no mention of the Firestorm meeting that was held at Carnells near Peterborough during 1997 or 98. I have some photos of this meeting, shall I upload them?

Yes, please upload those photos, even better, identify the attendees?
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
