I got a 1200 bandit that i streetfightered

How did you do that, isn't it already that style ?!... wack a couple of cheap tacky twin headlights on, some renthal bars and call it a streetfighter

Not meaning to offend but the term "streetfighter" grates me, one of those over used terms that came from a crashed sportsbike that was cheaper to throw cheap tat at just to get it back on the road, then it imply that it was planned.

Just customised will do me, most faired bike don't really come out well when the fairings removed, Firestorms are one of the worst unless you put a front mount radiator, then they can look ok if done very well.

Interested to see if this one turns out to be one of the very few that look good, I believe it can be done just not really seen it much yet.


Back to the Bandit, Well you cannot "streetfighter" a Bandit, you can modify one though

Me too. Cut n shut is a better term. Some are done well. My view. If it don't look like something the factory could have done it's a rat bike.

Yup the Anodising should be toned down a bit.. At least it's not purple anodising though

Now there's the irony, My GSX appeared in streetfighters mag back in 2003.. I've owned it for 10 years but don't have that copy of the mag, although I used to like it in it's early days.

Unless the owner is a hunchfront*, and it's like that for orthopaedic reasons.
Don't mock the afflicted, he can't help his condition.
We should try to understand, offer sympathy, and spare fairings.

You can just imagine the TV ad:
(Earnest middle-class voice): " John dropped his bike, and no-one will ride with him, as he can't go over 50 without neckache. Just one blue infill panel a month will help John overcome his shameful condition.......Please give what you can; every nearly-straight fairing bracket or purple anodised bolt for a screen well helps".






A surprising number of people know someone who likes streetfighters.
