Doh :( At least it wasn't a Honda :)

Gave mine a wash and applied ACF50, lubed the chain, pumped up the flat back tyre, noticed my brake light is on permanently and discovered I need a replacement genuine sp1 brake lever as my pattern part is sh1te.

Polished it and put her to bed until the morning.

Not quite today, but fitted one of these http://www.bikeittrade.com/road/bike-ac ... 1w001.html and brought some taper roller bearings for them to fit when I had the MOT on Thursday as I've had advisories the last couple of times. They also stripped the front brake and renewed the seals.

I also brought baffles for the Microns, the chap said "don't worry about that" so my MOT had the magic words "noisy exhaust" :biggrin :cool2

Hoping to get out on the bike today but driving home from the coast this morning was like driving on ice. Tons of salt and a light drizzle. The Golf has a form of traction control and the light was blinking in the most docile maneouvers.

So, got stuck into the Yam. Fitted Oxford grips, a fly lead for the battery optimiser and a usb supply and then looked at the tail-light assembly. It has one of these rather naff LED undertrays (http://bikestyleuk.com/product-category/undertrays/. A number of the LEDs are out and the wiring looks a bit sad. I've got a stock tail light but I'm hesitant chopping the undertray about to fit it. Seems like a world of aggro.

Debaffed a set of cans & fitted to The Custard Crumble...

Gave it a run up & discoverd the throttle was sticking open/very slow return...easy fix the grip was catching on the bar end, quick adjustment & sorted.

Checked the oil, with the bike on level ground & upright...nothing in the sight glass...over half a litre later just peeking at the bottom of the SG...topped it up...

Yesterday...fitted the replacement loom on to Smerkin Joe.
Making up since 2007, sometimes it's true...Honest...

Sanded down, used Plastex to bond the fairings, filled any blemished and primed! All set for a final rub down and top coat! Can't even see where I've made the repair, so far so good! Oh, snapped up a matching seat cowl off fleabay for £25.

just rode it to the garage for MOT and service. They do the oil and filter but stamp my book. Ive done the brakes, pistons and fluids today.
Changed the coolant, cleaned the Plugs , oiled the K and N undone, lubed and redone the exhaust and brake calliper studs. Lubed all the suspension linkages and made sure they are all free etc. Checked headstock bearings, checked all the appropriate bolts are tight etc.

It was great to give it a bit of a thrash. Preying for a dry day saturday.

Matt black painted added to the fork lowers.
As I had a Halfords gift card, I had a choice of using Hammerite smooth
which is a pig to put on, or not much else, so I decided to use Enamel paint,
think some others on here have used this before.
Looks good so far, but no pictures at the moment.
Need another tin of it though
