Anyone else have problems with the choke refusing to stay out? Heading into Winter over here (yeah, yeah, yeah, I realise our Winter's pretty much name only, but one does have to dig out the long johns on occasion). Anyway, will be wanting to use the choke, but it has issues staying in the 'on' position. Prefers to pull back in & hide. Bit like a willy in winter.
Anyone been there & done that so I can pass on the info to a fella to fix for me?
If you ate yourself would you become twice as big or simply disappear?
Know wot you mean about the willy bit -is that from personal experience? (Didn't know you were post-op! )
I believe (although I stand to be corrected) that there is a rubber collar at the base of it (ie right behind the knob when its pushed in -fnarr)
If you turn that it frees/ stiffens (fnarr) the action of the choke
Have a look, you should be able to do it easily without having to resort to disturbing a man (any further!)
I've got an inferiority complex But its not a very good one!

What a lovely, helpful bunch of chums you are... And Al, thank you for the pic with the bolt labelled. That looks very helpful . I'll go down & see if I can find the rim below the knob, work with that a little while & see if I can't get it to stick out how I want...
I'll be sure to keep you posted .

Sometimes it's been know to get stuck in one position or another so don't be afraid to lubricate it once in a while. It will give you lifelong service if it's looked after properly.
Thanks Pete. I like the idea of that "lifelong service", so perhaps I'll give it a good rub with a bit of lube . I haven't had a chance to get around to having a bit of a fiddle yet, but I will soon.
