Hi.
My first post on this forum.
Wonder of this front from a SP2 (link) will fit on my Firestorm without too much fiddeling ?

About forks. No, they do not fit straight on. Loads of fiddeling I am afraid...big time. Like moving radiators, something to do with axle and bearings (not 100% sure about details).
Somebody did it in US - results look great, but work was hard.
Blade 95-97 forks fit straight on thou. Minimum work required.
4 wheels moving body, 2 wheels moving soul
Do a search on the superhawkforum.com site as there is a lot of discussion on this very item. If you are bent on putting USD forks on your VTR, then SP (or RC51 as it is known here in North America) is the way to go as the forks are the same length.
Specifically, look for threads by RC996 or RCVTR as he made the swap (some pics too).
good luck to you

Hi
you can fit fireblade 929 forks,i have these on mine but you will need to change the wheel, calipers, discs obviously the yokes.
Also you need to shim the ignition, your turning circle is reduced but not alot. You could move the radiators back 5 mil but you have to be careful they dont catch your fairing.
You need some higher bars to clear the fairing as the yokes sit flush with the yokes not like the firestorms which are raised.
I have Daz Sear to thank for my inspiration on my conversion, his bike is awesome and he has been a great help
