Speedo Broke

Post by Nigel »

My speedo has just packed up but the mileage is still showing on the odo, it ran a bit erratically at first then packed up all together !
Has anyone had this experience before? and if so how did they sort it out?
I have done all the conector checks and everything looks fine. Could it be the sensor? Any help would be appreciated as I have a trip to Kirkudbright, Scotland tomorrow afternoon and am panicking about monitoring my fuel !

Not had that but you could just keep an eye on the time and stop for fuel (and an butt rest!) every 90 mins?

That was lucky.
My speedo packed in and after following the service guide, found the sensor was fubar.
£90 + VAT from honda for a new sensor :(
And they are a bugger to replace since one of the bolts is behind the shock. We had 4 extensions bar on the socket to undo it!
