Found i was missing one of these plastic screw rivet (scrivet?) thingies when I had the fairing off at the weekend.
Anyone bought from either of these two:
http://www.speedyfasteners.com/M6_6mm_S ... /sf190.htm
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Honda-VTR1000 ... xyg7xSYnmF
The ones I've got are the screw out jobs & it's a bit fiddly to get at the buggers so I wondered if the ebay ones, which are pull out, might be a better option.
Any suggestions/comments serious/facetious or otherwise gratefully received!!
PS Got MOT & tax today so now riding legally - wehay!!

Nothing happens when you leave them out.....
I haven't bothered with these for years on my own bike.
And you can remove the brackets, saving weight, and the rads don't flap about either.
If you fit a different front end you have to move the rads back anyway, so none of it lines up, hence my not bothering.

It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

MY OCD makes me do it ..... i have used loads of the off the shelf ones
Re: Plastic fasteners for fairing lowers
I use Numberplate bolts..glue the bolt through the fairing then screw the nut on..if it crosses or breaks it's easily replaces for pence

Ha ha I know what you mean - I'm a bit anal about these things too. Have to have an elegant solution even if it costs a few bob.StuartWags wrote:MY OCD makes me do it ..... i have used loads of the off the shelf ones
Sorry lloydie but the idea of cable ties brings me out in a cold sweat!!!
