They can always be fixed just if its cost effective. You planning on stripping it to find out the issue?playerone wrote:no not yet, but given the noise when I got it running for a few seconds I'd say it was pretty much terminalVTR Phoenix wrote:

If it aint broke, get your bloody hands off it!
Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
I'm thinking of using it as a work tool, teach myself the basics as I've never been any good with mechanical sh1t so yeah I'll probably strip it, and learn how to play about with the carbs etc

Fitted some tat!
Chinese levers finally arrived as did a 2nd hand tinted screen I got cheap off eBay, then spent two hours wrapping the front mudguard (to hide cracked paint).
Now just need some anodised bolts and a furry seat.......

Cheers, it looks good up to about 3ft!
It ripped in a couple of places and the bits round the forks were an absolute butt to do, so it won't pass inspection, obviously the bits you can't see e.g. back section and fender extender look perfect......

Rode Custard to veiw a Bloo one, left a deposit !
Going back to pick it up tomorrow...
Steamed into Smerkin Joe, put the Roger'd forks on, fitted the back end back on with an undertray.
Still got loads to do to that so may still be a pile of bits come the weekend...

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
Fitted fixed cracked panel after I backed the TA into the storm a few weeks back causing it to fall over...
Replaced wonky speedo sensor (3rd time in 60,000 miles)
Replaced rear footpeg hanger bolt that has fallen out
Thanks Mac for the snazzy replacement!
Fitted newly sprayed up and polished seat cover
Washed and polished, tyres pumped up while I had the compressor out.
Then with TA having a slow front puncture (discovered out and about at 10pm last night!) took it local Universal Tyre shop for them to look at suspected valve. Discovered it was a punctured inner tube, they tried to patch it but destroyed it in he process (a tad enthusiastic in debriding the tube), ran me up the road in their van to get a new tube, put it all back together and charged precisely .. nothing! Will pop by some nibbly treats for the guys next time I'm passing.
All set for Saturday...
