I thought i would post this info incase anyone is intrested i have just put my old firestorm front end on my mates nc30 i will post some pics in the gallery later

I have to ask why? That sounds like a large step backwards for a nC30.

The discs/wheel/calipers are all the same fitting the forks are slightly longer by about inch and half so just brought the forks through the yokes by this amount bringing it back to how it used to be.Another reason was that his forks was shagged it is a 91 model afterall and nc30s as you know are renowned for being abused.

The firestorm calipers and discs are much better than his, the forks are also better alot stiffer, they may be crap on the firestorm but this is a 400.You would have had to ride it the way it was to appreciate the difference it has made now.

He still uses his own wheel and clipons as they bolt under the yokes so his riding position hasnt changed.
These corner like nothing else, if you havnt ridden one, ride one the corner speed is amazing. :D :D Alan

ah well you know what i am talking about i keep it in my garage for him but i always have little blast on it always makes me come back smiling my tits off remind me of my zxr250 days :D :D

So what do you think to the conversion then!

I never found anything wrong with the standard front end but if his was worn and tired then it's a fair enough swap.
