Now all of you behave yourselves, I won't have this blatant bullying of a sickly biking brother and these barbed comments about additional digits attached to his poor mutated body (oops, I may have slipped a little there!)
Now all of you naughty chaps who have mocked the poor little mouse slaughterer go and stand in the corner and repeat 100 times "I mustn't mock the afflicted". I don't know where all these nasty rumours started anyway!

Ya know, reading this thread has produced a painful involuntary reaction in my groin area.

I have literally torn my big toe nail off three times, once on the left and twice on the right. I think they come off easier now. The first time I was riding a POS Suzuki TS250 that went better than it handled. I threw it down while wearing trainers and the result was a very painful parting of the ways with my big toe nail. The second time I was pushing my kid on his dirt bike trying to bump start it. I kicked the knobbie tire as it was coming up, once again, in trainers. You would think I would get some steel toe work boots. The last time I kicked a floor monitor at a gig. I was furious at my drunk drummer who had just insulted the owner and made certain we would never play that venue again. I hardly felt that one. The secret to surviving all three was denial. I didn't look until hours later. I also deluded myself that "it wasn't that bad." It was but I tried not to think about it. I hope it never happens again.
