I had a K5 new and had 2 sets of discs under warranty, my K7 was fine as was the K4, strangely the last puncture I had was 10 years ago on the K5. that bike also had thin paint and they changed top fairing under warranty as it was all chipped in a few hundred miles. The 90's Honda's were pretty good quality and solid bikes I think the newer quest for lighter bikes mean they cut back on things, I'd happily have thicker paint and put up with the massive weight disadvantage

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
I started my bike today, then frowned at it for a bit. Topped up the oil while I wait for my new oil and oil filter to arrive. Shook my head at it. Planned some new exhausts. Frowned some more. Then tried to figure out how much it was going to cost me to get it looking decent again before heading back inside for a little cry...

Think I might kick its tyres later
Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
Tail fairing done and back on the bike. All the holes line up so happy with that. I then threw a couple of buckets of water over the bike to wash the dust and cobwebs away. Shall get the spanners out tomorrow and start stripping things down.

Sounds like a plan Carlcybercarl wrote:Tail fairing done and back on the bike. All the holes line up so happy with that. I then threw a couple of buckets of water over the bike to wash the dust and cobwebs away. Shall get the spanners out tomorrow and start stripping things down.

I dusted mine down too & checked all the nut's n bolts I'd had off & on from the front end conversion were tight.
Still debating whether to fit a chain guard or not this summer

Fitted rack and Givi topbox; then took it for a thrash to see if anything fell off. It didn't.
I've been using the KTM to visit clients and was late for a meeting this morning as I couldn't resist the "scenic" route. Storm tomorrow, heading south into the wilds of Yorkshire. Alarm set for 04:30! (Eeek)

Managed to get piggy out for a 50 mile angry thrashing , it worked and I feel better .

Like indicators on an Audi, my rear brake is more for decorative purposes, so I put a nice wavy disc on it:

I'm so unlucky that if there is such a thing as re-incarnation I'll come back as me!

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
Went dirt tracking today. Thought I'd try a new route to a range just east of Catterick. Ended up crossing Bowes moor on a dirt road into Cumbria. Should have turned around, should have turned around, loads of cattle grids and gates and "not suitable for vehicles" signs. Should have turned around. Hey ho, we made it and I don't think I've dented the rims.
30m visibility at the top but on the way t'was great for the wildlife. Loads of Curlews and Hare, the odd Buzzard plus things I didn't know the name of.
