Managed to get out and put the final coat of 2pack on my swingarm, frame and other little bits. I got lucky as we only had a couple of spots of rain today. :D

Swapped out the clipons to risers to raise the bars up a little on the sp2, but sadly the clutch reservoir fouls the fairing. Nothing for it but to buy a Magura radial clutch mc with a remote res, so I can mount it inboard, and a Titax lever to operate it with. Ah, well.

The brake side already has a remote res, so I'll mount them both close to the ignition key on the top yoke- it's easy enough to fab up a couple of brackets.
More money spent....

Hmmm. A Brembo radial mc brake side might sit well with that....calipers would also be needed, natch.... but the brakes are already pretty good, so I might hang fire on those for now. After all, I'm not spending any money on this bike, leaving well enough alone, yes, sir, ma'am, definitely no mods to be seen here, move along.....

Got my mates Ducati 250 running last night and took it for a cheeky test ride using the petrol tank off my trials bike bungee strapped to the top tube.

Will look like this when we are finished

First time it has moved under its own steam in 15yrs :)

Got home from work and watched the rain out the garage door. Delivery van came with new light tint Powerbronze double bubble, so fitted that and it looks like it'll be a lot better (I'm 6'2" and catching the buffeting just wrong with standard).

Hoping for some decent riding weather this weekend.

It's nice feeling to hear an old bike (or a car for that matter) fire up like that after it's been stood for many years :D Well done

Seeing as the weather is fiddler so no riding today, I swapped my sidestand out for one from an early R1. Jacking up the rear end with shorter dog bones left the bike leaning way over on the stand, the R1 one is 2.5cm longer so it's much better now.

Did you wear a helmet and have you got insurance sir :biggrin If yes then your only allowed 6 points for pleasure otherwise you can have 3

We had so much rain here the other day I thought the bike might start aquaplaning while sitting on bricks.
