I tried the Azaro's on mine. I changed the rear first (Bridgestone 010 still on the front) and thought it was great but when I got the matching front Azaro I was highly disappointed. It gave no confidence in either wet or dry. I dropped the air pressure a bit and that improved it but I wouldn't ever fit another one out of choice. I just don't think they suit the Storm.sparrowlegs wrote:Anyone riddenm a 'Storm shod with Bridgestone 020's on front and rear?...my 'Storm has them on and i wanna know if they suit it?...only used Avon Azaro's on my TRX850 and ZZR600 so i'm a bit clueless on bridgestone tyres

That's strange Pete as I am using Azaro's at the moment and I like them, admittedly I've not done much wet weather riding, but in the dry they suit mePete.L wrote:sparrowlegs wrote:I tried the Azaro's on mine. Chris.
Pilot Sports is a sole reason I had lowside on my previous bike, Hornet. In wet they are totally useless.
Had BT010 then on Hornet and they million times better in wet, but worse than Pilot Sports in hot days.
Heard that Pilot Powers are way more grip in wet than Pilot Sports ever were - but have not tried myself.
Problem is - I am running out of tires now and need to think what to replace them with - and looks like everybody as confused as I am
I heard some Continentals had great review as best wet/dry combo?

Bluesman pilot powers nough said!!!!!
After some talking to about 5 people I am set on Continental SportAttack or RoadAttack. Time to try something new, reviews are great and they look really good, plus quite a few folks in office telling me they running those and very impressed with both Road and Sport Attack...

It all depends on what kind of a rider you are or what kind of riding your doing the pilot powers are a soft compound so you wont get much mileage if you tour alot but for the wanna be rossi's out there and track nuts there awsome dont know much about the conti's i prefer michelins and i think the storms excellent with them

Sorry guys, I just get wot i can cheap, running pirelli mtr 21 on front, Diablo on rear, seem ok, not the hardest rider out there
the rear has lasted about 6-7000 kms and is getting flat in the center (lots of straight commutes to work) so ill start ringing around the local shops and annoy the hell out of them.. ahhhh then paddockstands, how much freight on a pirelli diablo to NZ maaate
Locally the last rear was $270 fitted, top of range stuff $350 plus fitting

Well, I went to get a new Pilot Power front yesterday & there ain't none left
. Even Michellin are out of stock. Don't know about the UK, but they are as popular as sunscreen over here. They had a few other options, including the new Dunlop Qualifier (brought out to try to get a bit of the Pilot Power market back to Dunlop), but I opted to try again in a week or so. Hope I don't get pulled over in the mean-time, 'cause the front I have on at the mo' (PP) is playing wayyyyyy over on the illegal side
.
