Just logged in after a morning of groaning & moaning & generaly feeling a bit merh...

Kind of puts my difficulties into perspective.

So very sorry to be reading this awful news.

Chin up Al & remember the good times.

I lost my Mum when I was just 11, at that age It doesn't really kick in...don't get me wrong it's still very upsetting but your life hasn't even really started at 11 has it, so you just get on with it.

Losing your Mum now is a different thing altogether as you have your whole life to look back on...

Have a good sob into a large Scotch...trust me it's better out than in...
Making up since 2007, sometimes it's true...Honest...

Really sorry to hear your very sad news. Loosing a parent is just so awful. I wish there was something to be said that would make it less painful. Thoughts are with you and your family Al.

Bugger! That's awful.
Why is it we think they will last forever and then its such a horrible shock when they don't.
She was a lovely lady Al and obviously so proud of you.
My heart goes out to you and all the family.....think I'd better go call me mum, it's been a while since I last did

Can't really add much to what's been said fella.
It was a pleasure to meet her and enjoy her company this summer. I'll raise a glass, or 2, to you all over the weekend.
Put my old man to rest last month and whilst we all knew it was coming, it's still a hellish thing to deal with. To an extent knowing it was going to happen is far easier than a sudden loss.
I've started to look on things in a different light now, and thinking of back to when we all descended for a brew at your mum's I could tell that she was immensely proud you turning up with a bunch of reprobates all out enjoying ourselves.
Think she was happier when we all left also....

keep strong for the family then go find a darkened room and let it all out.
Don't hassle me
I'll get there at some time
