Which rotors cost vs weight. Rear.

mickeymoto.ca is selling rotors Carbon for 350 cad. 27000 jpy.

They are also selling an " Ultra light rear rotor for 120 Cad 9200 jpy.

I could machine a stock one down by slotting it and removing some of the non wear surface for next to zero.

I was wondering if there are any cheaper ceramic's. I tried to find a F16 heat stack but they disappeared in recent years.
You can cut a stack disc easily. But no one is buying a new stack.

I could make a cf disc but its not any cheaper than 350 cad. Just the silicon carbide is pricey let alone sending the part out to get sintered.
So no more diy carbon brakes for me.

Any other options for ultra light rears. Since I actually use my rear all the time granted for light use I want something that wont shatter or melt away.

What was the weight over stock. As far as I saw yesterday and I have read the cbr1000rr and vtr have the same disc.

Thanks. I am really trying to shed some big weight on this bike without breaking the bank. I dunno about daving three months of toy money for a carbon rotor

found it.aprox 600 grams on the kitchen scales.still in its wrap/brand new,your welcome to it for the cost of postage if you want somthing to experiment on.
