Manual CCT

Does the MCCT have to be so long. I was going to pull mine to bits and convert them myself and was wondering why you have a long screw sticking out. I assume that you would not need to adjust them that much. thought I would try and make mine as small as possible.

No, the bolt only needs 5mm of thread showing after it has been installed and adjusted to the correct tension.
I'd suggest you install it, set it up correctly, then uninstall and shorten by the required amount.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
