After it all going pear shaped the last time it's nice to see your enthusiasm as this bike comes together... I like the colour btw, looking forward to seeing her completed
Been eight days since an update and I'm getting withdrawal so here's a little one.
The engine is being painted and should be collected on Monday along with the frame which is being powder coated with the Subframe etc...
Decided on polished forks for now and if it doesn't look right I'll paint them.
Swingarm also being polished. I can't afford to brace it yet and once I do I'll have it powder coated.
Managed to complete the from brake system in its entirety.
Tokico six pots
Braided blue new hel lines all round
2010 Blade radial 19mm master cylinder
ASV levers once again. Managed to get the pair for 70 which is not bad at all.
I also splashed out on samco hose clips.
Costing me a bloody fortune. Worth it? I don't know yet.
Hopefully not long to go and should start assembly towards the end of next week.
If you need a braced Swingarm Matt greenall ( monkey Matt on here ) has got my one he's never returned ( which he promised to last year ) which was only loaned to him ( doubt I'll ever see it again ) If you can prize it from his dishonest hands YOU can have it ( that's if the butt wipe hadn't sold it ) ..
It's a lovely polished and blade braced version that retains the storm brake ...
Good luck though as I've been messaging him and he just ignores my requests .
I am hoping to finally get my engine back into the frame in Thursday and the rebuild can commence! Still sorting out a fee bits and pieces and tidying things up.
The six pots I got were a tad rough. They have now been sprayed and decided to sand back the lettering. I'm chuffed with the result as I was worried about messing them up.
BEFORE
AFTER
I also picked up my frame. I was going to brace the swingarm and have it powder coated but have run out of money basically. So for now it will be polished along with the forks. Once the bike is off the road again in October I will decide if I need to change a couple of things!
How much have I spent you mean? A f@@#ing fortune!
ahh stop your yapping man and get back into that man cave .theres work to be done. looking really well by the way.
(your bike not you)
And on that note....
Polished forks. For now. If I don't like them when it's all together I'll paint them.
Also for anyone that thought the TOKICO six pots were a simple bolt on that is not correct. You will need new mounting bolts or you will have to do what I did which was cut the originals.
Still need to clean the bolts up but it all fits together at least.
Also have the visible (when on bike) part of the swingarm polished. I was going to powder coat it but can't afford to brace it just yet so I'll do that all at the same time.
