BT 016 PRO. Tyres!
BT 016 PRO. Tyres!
Hey boys and girls ( and Lloydie ), it's tyres time for the Viffer and i aint got a bottomless pit of money, so opinions on the above, as they seem decent value, or your recommendations please! Obviously this is personal preference!! I'm a summer only, solo rider, don't ride like Miss Daisy but certainly ain't a road racer!!

I like them. Have used other stuff but always seem to come back to them on the Storm. Don't last very long. 3k on the back, about 5k on the front. The back stays a reasonable shape, right down to the carcass and keeps gripping too. The front gets chamfered off.

I love the 016 on my VTR, I think it's a great tyre.

Avon Storms are good and not expensive
Adyf uses them as well and he's no slouch

That's what I'm using, now on the Storm 3D XM (extra mileage), I can't fault them, although can't comment on what they are like in the wet, as I do my very best to avoid that nowFlatline wrote:Avon Storms are good and not expensive

Good tyre, even used them on a couple of track days, but as said above not many miles.
Tyre Leader have pair of Michelin pilot power 2ct's @ £154 posted these have lasted on my blade for 6000 miles and give good confidence and quick warm up. About to get them for the firestorm.

Re: BT 016 PRO. Tyres!
Well, cut a long story short, I was talking to a guy at work about tyres and he informs me he has a pair of new Pirelli corsa 3's , they where fitted to his 959 ducati which he converted to a race bike without turning a wheel on the road !!!!
He said I could have them as they where in his way , gave him a donation to his race fuel fund and fitted them to the Firestorm.
Couple of things, firstly the rear is a 180/60 and secondly WOW what a difference, the bike steers much quicker feels light and agile and they warm up quick and grip like sh*t to a blanket.
Can recommend these tyres and the increase in size.

Much better choice than the 2 CTs. I could never get on with them. You won't get the mileage but your grins will be so much better
