Righteho. Just be sure to pick up some vowels as soon as you get here, gcs. For some reason, they're as scarce in New Zealand as snakes. Vowels can be very handy to separate your consonants & help to make the NZ accent tolerable    .

weather stayed good in Durham all day.. but was a little overcast earlier on.
I was in work.. again !!!
sure did matey mate..

was kitted and riding by 1pm...

Went down to westgate hill to have a look see, then went to Whitley bay and sat outside a cafe with a sarnie and a cuppa tea.

then decided for a jaunt across to Kielder, but ended up in Coldstream by 3.30pm  jocks away

Took the road to Howtel on way back, past yetholm and on to Jedburgh, back down the A68 to Newcastle...

25 miles outside of newcastle a large dark cloud loomed in the distance - I was slammed by wind and rain - without my warm inners and not wanting to ride in the cacky weather I pulled in to a roadside pub and had a lemonade and a few roll ups for an hour til the rain passed.

got back home safe and dry at 7:30pm...

BBC internet weather is spot on, well nearly... It said the rain would hit the toon at 4pm and it came at 5pm - got to me at 6pm as the wind direction had changed.

Bike and gear is still covered in road cack and flies...

glad I did it :D
